WRIC - Musical celebration to be held for local radio host Kat Simons

A free musical celebration will be held at the Westchester Commons Concert Field from 3 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8 in honor of Kat Simons, a Mix 98.1 Richmond radio host who died in June this year.

Debra Willis, president of the Friends of Kat Simons Foundation, said the foundation was created to carry on Simons' legacy of what she has done for the community for over 25 years, including helping pet shelters, veterans, seniors and mental health.
