 Create a custom scratchboard portrait of your own pet during an immersive 2-hour workshop while supporting pets in the care of the Richmond SPCA.

Mutt Madness Week

March 3rd- March 9th

Adopters can name their own price when taking home a dog from the Richmond SPCA this week. Applies to all adult dogs who are 6 months or older.

Richmond SPCA’s 23rd Annual Dog Jog, 5K and Block Party

Back for its 23rd year on Saturday, March 22, 2025. Welcome spring at this family- and pet-friendly event presented by Holiday Barn Pet Resorts. 

 

The event will be held at the Richmond SPCA's humane center on Hermitage Road and will feature:

  • A chipped-timed 5K race for runners and walkers
  • A leisurely 1-mile Dog Jog for people and their canine companions
  • A lively block party with local vendors, artisans, food trucks and adult beverages 
  • Live music headlined by popular local cover band Sold Separately
  • A free Kids Fun Run for children ages 4-10

Kellan’s Legacy of Love & the 5th Annual Toy Drive

January 13th - March 21st, 2025

Kellan’s Legacy of Love is a nonprofit dedicated to bringing comfort, joy, and support to children facing serious medical challenges. We provide:


  • Toys, blankets, and comforting items to brighten hospital stays.
  • Emotional support and guidance for families, especially those transitioning to hospice care.
  • A community-driven effort that shows no medical families are alone.
